June 2021. The specialized international publication, The European of the Thompson Reuters publishing house, named Coyol Free Zone for the second time in a row, Latin America Free Zone of the Year, and awarded it The Most Innovative Free Zone of The Year, and Business Hub for Life Science and Advanced Manufacturing in the Latin American region.

These global awards are a recognition of Coyol Free Zone’s capacity to attract investment and reinvestment from clients in high value-added exports, generating more than 16,500 quality jobs and accounting for 58% of the Medical Device exports in Costa Rica. This is achieved through productive supply chains that positively impact hundreds of small and medium-sized companies in the country.

All these accomplishments have attracted the attention of prestigious international publications, like The European; a business magazine that showcases innovative companies and organizations from around the world. C-Suite executives and directors of many of the world’s leading companies comprise the primary audience for this magazine. And it is thanks to this readership that the publication is so valued among the investment community. For several years, they have organized the Global Business and Banking Finance Awards, which rewards excellence in the global business community and for the last two years, 2020 and 2021, they have included Coyol Free Zone among the winners.
