December, 2025. Seven companies based in Coyol Free Zone are among the Top 30 Global Medical Device Companies of 2025, according to the annual report by MPO (Medical Product Outsourcing). This result undoubtedly consolidates the park as a benchmark in the sector and reinforces its national and international leadership, thanks to a solid, innovative, and constantly growing business ecosystem.

Based on the report, Medtronic, Abbott, Philips, Cardinal Health, Terumo, Smith & Nephew and Hologic have established themselves as leaders in the global medical device market, and reinforced the positioning of Coyol Free Zone as a strategic hub chosen by leading companies in the sector for their operations in Costa Rica.

These seven companies, along with 27 other domestic and foreign companies, make up the strongest cluster in the Life Sciences industry in the country.
