Experience in LEED-certified buildings

Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) is an international certification that recognizes leading projects for their sustainable design and construction. It stands out for being one of the most rigorous and difficult to achieve in the world, as it is directed at smart buildings.

This certification is a voluntary assessment and is governed by a series of qualifications in the development and implementation of various sustainability building strategies, such as location, transportation, use of materials, water management, energy management, among others. Depending on the total number of points earned, the building may receive a standard LEED certification or a higher one going from Silver, Gold, to Platinum.

Coyol Free Zone has the experience to provide the necessary assistance for the whole construction process and facilitate documentation and review support for companies that wish to obtain a LEED certification.

Currently, six of the companies within the park have LEED certification (see below), this give us, an area of 43,693 m2 certified, which represents 19.73% of the total area of the free zone.

This is a key step in demonstrating that Real State development is intimately linked to sustainability, efficiency, proper use of spaces, and green building. All part of Coyol Free Zone’s values of excellence, innovation, and sustainability that make the park the Top Free Trade Zone in Latin America & the Caribbean.
