May. Fifty students of technical careers of the National Learning Institute (INA) received a workshop to strengthen their knowledge and personal tools, so that they may successfully enter the labor market. The talk was given by representatives of Coyol Free Zone and companies of the Park, as part of the celebration of the INA Student Week.
Throughout the year, this Free Zone promotes employability through INA’s courses and training programs, which are adapted to the recruitment needs of the current labor market and the companies located in the Coyol Free Zone. On this occasion, the young people were provided with an experiential workshop that allowed them to explore their own skills and areas for improvement.
“We are very pleased to welcome young students who are striving for their first training processes. We hope that the visit to the Park will be an opportunity to broaden their professional aspirations and invite them to learn more about the Life Sciences industry, where there are currently many job opportunities in Costa Rica,” said Carolina Zamora, Coyol Free Zone’s Post Sales Services Manager.
Thanks to a cooperation agreement, 650 places have been offered during the last two years to employees of the different companies in the Park to take advantage of INA’s academic offerings. These spaces represent fundamental opportunities for heads of household and full-time employees, since they enable them to attend classes from their homes or directly at the Park, without having to go to an educational center.
Coyol Free Zone is working to provide advice to this agency by validating different curricula with the support of the companies and, together with CINDE and the medical devices cluster, is helping to prepare a diagnosis of the educational needs of the companies in the Park, while INA provides the technical training necessary to meet the requirements of the companies.
Thanks to the agreement with INA, so far in 2022, a total of 220 employees have taken advantage of the academic offerings of this institution. In addition, Coyol Free Zone developed a catalog of courses, which has allowed both, companies and employees, to enroll and register more easily in the academic offerings available, thus facilitating the promotion and use of the courses.
