February, 2026. Coyol Free Zone began the construction of a new Multitenant Building with a construction footprint of 10,000 m², with which it will seek to strengthen this high value-added industrial pole and attract more companies from strategic sectors, such as Life Sciences, Semiconductors, Smart Manufacturing and Logistics Operations.
This modern project will have three fully independent modular units, housing the third Resonetics manufacturing plant in Coyol Free Zone, a company specializing in advanced engineering and manufacturing solutions for the medical device industry. The opening of these facilities is scheduled for 2027.
The expansion of the operations of this company, which has been operating in the industrial park since October 2016, when it opened its first production plant, marks a new milestone in its growth. It will have a construction footprint of 3,836 m², thus allowing it to expand its specialized capacities and strengthen ties with local suppliers, as part of the company’s interest in further integrating itself into the Costa Rican productive ecosystem. The current Resonetics operation in Costa Rica has more than 500 employees in its two buildings in operation in Coyol Free Zone, and this expansion will provide 300 new jobs.
“Our expansion in Costa Rica is a key milestone in Resonetics’ global growth strategy,” said Kevin Kelly, CEO of Resonetics. “By investing in advanced manufacturing capabilities and expanding our presence in Coyol Free Trade Zone, we are positioning Resonetics to serve growing customer demand, accelerate innovation, and support the development of life-saving medical technologies globally.”
Carlos Wong, CEO of CODE Development Group, co-developer of Coyol Free Zone, was pleased that Resonetics has chosen the Park to build its third production facility.
“The new Multitenant Building is designed to continue promoting the sustained growth of companies that decide to settle in the park or are already installed, such as Resonetics. It is a modern, flexible building with characteristics that will enhance productivity, promote innovation, and generate new opportunities for quality employment,” said Wong.
